Steve Runner

I am a 46 year old Scottish/Italian New England born American; loving husband, devoted father, professional engineer, avid baseball fan (faithful to both my "beloved" Boston Red Sox and Worcester Tornadoes), practicing Roman Catholic, voracious reader,  wine "freak"/beer aficionado, mean blues harpist, experienced outdoorsman, amateur astronomer, American Civil War nut, former commercial broadcast engineer, a "disciple" of Dr. George Sheehan and a passionate distance runner.  I have been a runner since December of 1998.  To date I have run exactly one hundred and six road races including eighteen marathons.  I have run the Boston Marathon seven times, every year since 2002.

My goal is to break four hours in a marathon.  My marathon PR is 4:01:31.

I live and run with my family in the heart of New England in Central Massachusetts.
